Collaborations

Sometimes two authors will decide to collaborate on a project thinking each will only have to do half the work. If only it were that easy. Some might say a good literary collaboration is even harder to come by than a good marriage. Blending two disparate voices, approaches, and egos can be a daunting undertaking. Literary history--both written and unwritten--is littered with aborted collaborations. But when you imagine the possibilities--say, Samuel Beckett teaming up with Jim Thompson--what a crime novel, or play, that would be!

Over the next few months you'll find further exploration of collaborations on this page of the Melanie & Steve Tem web site, including the possibility of participating in one of these collaborations. For now, here's a bibliography of collaborations Steve and Melanie have done together, and with other authors.
